It takes approximately 5 hours (about 400 km) to get from Prague to Bratislava by train or by bus. You can also fly to Bratislava by regular direct air line from Prague.

From Budapest to Bratislava
Distance from Budapest is about 200 km. By train or by bus it takes 2.5 hours. Train from Budapest-Keleti pu. Station departs for Bratislava approximately every 2 hours.

From Petrzalka railway station to the main railway station (6 km)
Take one of the buses No. 82, 90, 180 in the city center direction and get off at the next stop (Zaporozska, 2 min). Then take the bus No. 81. Its final stop is the main railway station (Hlavna stanica, 12 min). The bus No. 82 also finishes at the main railway station, but it is a little round trip (28 min).
From the main bus station (Mlynske Nivy) to the main railway station
The trolleybus No. 210 is the line between the main bus station and the main railway station. It is about 4 km and it takes 10 min.
The price of the public transport ticket is 12 SKK/10 min, 14 SKK/30 min and 20 SKK/60 min. The ticket can be purchased at the newspaper stand or in the yellow slot machines.
TAXI taken on the street costs approximately 25 SKK/km.
| How to reach Piestany from Bratislava |
The distance from Bratislava to Piestany is about 80 km.
We are going to arrange a direct bus from Bratislava to the conference hotel (Slnava) in Piestany. The expected departure of this bus from the Main railway station in Bratislava is on Friday, November 23 at about 20:45 (the bus will be available from 20:00 and will wait until the arival of the train EC 77 Comenius from Prague).
There are also regular bus and train connections from bus station Mlynske Nivy (Bratislava) and from the main railway station (Bratislava hl.st.). We recommend to use train, it has frequency at most 2 hours, the journey takes 70 min.

How to reach hotel Slnava from bus or railway station
|
The distance from bus station in Piestany to hotel Slnava is about 2 km. The railway station is near to the bus station.
A shuttle between the Piestany railway (and bus) station and the conference hotel will be arranged on Friday, November 23. The expected departures of the bus from railway station are at about 19:20, 21:20 and 0:10 (Saturday).
There are also local transport from bus station (as well as from railway station) to the hotel. It takes about 17 min. The bus stop near hotel is called Zimny stadion (ice-ring).
There is also possibility to take a taxi. Taxi from bus or railway station to the hotel costs about 110,- Sk
