Transportation

The conference takes place in the middle of Slovakia, in a a tiny village Liptovsky Jan. The conference site is accessible from international airports in Vienna (about 4.5 hrs. by IC/EC trains), Bratislava (about 3.5 hrs. by IC/EC trains) and Kosice (about 2 hrs. by trains). There is direct train connection between Bratislava and Liptovsky Mikulas about every 2 hours and there are several direct trains from Vienna to Liptovsky Mikulas. Moreover, there is a direct bus connection from Vienna to Bratislava about every one hour.

Organizers are going to arrange a special SOFSEM 2005 shuttle connecting Liptovsky Mikulas with the conference site on Saturday (22.1.2004). It will be available for the participants arriving by train at 13:09, 14:38, 15:48, 17:48 and 20:48. In order to schedule the shuttle departures to the convenience of most of the participants, we encourage them to inform organizers about their expected arrivals to Liptovsky Mikulas.

There is regular bus connection between Liptovsky Mikulas and Liptovsky Jan about every 2 hours.
